After doing what Space Heroes tend to do after rescuing beautiful green (or blue, or orange, or purple, he doesn't discriminate) women, Tek is ordered back to HQ by his boss, Over-Seeress Brainia!
When he sees a cheering crowd at the landing pad, Tek naturally assumes they're there to greet him after another successful mission!
But they're really there to greet the Chief of the Optiklons, who bring advanced technology to end disease, hunger, poverty, and numerous other problems!
Tek believes this is some sort of trick, but is ordered to not interfere...
Though Tek returns to Atomic Kommie Comics on Saturday for (obviously) Space Hero Saturdays, that'll be a separate short story.
