Indiana Jones and his friend Sallah recover the Golden Idol from a rare artifacts smuggler that rogue archaeologist Belloq took from Indy at the beginning of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Indy returns to America and prepares to present it to the National Museum.
But, unknown to him, a group of Meso-Americans and a blonde woman (with a grudge against Indy) also want the idol...
Technically, this is a "cliffhanger", even if it is an urban "cliff" he's hanging from!
